@rhys davies
Have you considered using an emulator?
Takes up a hell of a lot less space on your SD/HDD.
Other than that, some NTSC WiiWare/VC just isn't compatible with PAL systems
It's not a region issue, more a display one.
This mod can fix it for you

so NTSC has the SNES version of Earthworm Jim? why does PAL only get the inferior megadrive version?
also, we dont have earthbound and wild guns (yet)
paulb said
at 5:24 am on Jul 6, 2010
lol I would have to disagree with you there
The MD version was much better
Although you can still run the NTSC version on a PAL system anyway

@paulb i have it on an emulater both pal and ntsc versions but it has some problems sometimes thatys why i would like it on VC

Yep I understand the point of running from wii rather than emulator.
I do it myself with some for menu ascetics.
But what version of gensplus are you running as earthworm jim, well pretty much every game
runs perfect
rhys davies said

@paulb i dont know what version of gensplus i have as i dont use that emu that much

I dunno, I just don't see the point of using VC other than for N64
They take up too much of that precious NAND space
And even then, Wii64 is making headway finally

if you change the region of your wii you could run ntsc vc wads on a pal system, and there is actually a hombrew app that does that. i had a super smash bros channel that i thought was ntsc but wen i changed it to pal non of my ntsc channels worked accept for the super smash bros (which i found out later was region free) but i could always make the ntsc earthbound, earthworm jim, and wild gunz region free, or make them pal if you want. but thats up to you. just tell me and ill be glad to do it for you.

All you really need is priiloader/preloader which can set your Wii channels to region free

i know i have priieloader on my 4.2 U wii along with bootmii IOS and a full nand backup, dont want to screw this wii up. and yes i have fully bricked my first wii, but i might buy an auto boot non soldering mod chip. anyone know if i can fix a full brick with an auto boot non soldering wii chip?

Hello!
Can I play SNES games with Wii remote? Because I don't have Wii classic controller and gamecube controller.
Thanks.
paulb said

@Bruno
No SNES VC does not support the Wiimote
Which is really strange as it is supported on Genesis
You can use Wiimotes with snes9x however (a snes emulator)
AndrewP said

actually i was able to play a little bit of super mario bros or super mario world with a wiimote (its the one were you enter the shop channel its the most recomended one)

Are you sure your not thinking of NES mate
Haruspex said

Yeah, the HomeBrew SNES9X is definitely the better way to go. It gives more options and provides a better experience than VC, in my opinion.

yeah it was the one for the nes.

is there secred of mana in german ? i have this game on the original snes but my cable is down and can't play anymore on my old good friend :(
paulb said

Most of the VC here is in English, If they contain other languages it will use whatever is set as default on your console.
Provided it contains other languages in the first place.
Otherwise you could use SNES9x http://wiibrew.org/wiki/Snes9x_GX
and find the German rom that way.
patrick1993 said

I know about these emulators and on the Wii Shop Channel there is "Secred of Mana (Deutsch)" and "Secred of Mana (Englisch)" couldn't your teams make that one of German ?
Or is this really impossible ?
Thx
Haruspex said

It's possible, but unlikely to happen. The VC wad files originate from someone who actually purchases the game and rips it for the community. It will be much easier to get the PAL ROM file for the game which includes Deutsch support and use SNES9X to play it. SNES9X is much better than VC, and offers more control options.

if you want i could always inject a german ROM version of the game into the english version. idk if that will work though.

or you can look at the guide for changing the image of an injected game on gbatemp, when i used it i remember there was an option for changing the language, but i think the easiest way would be throught snes9x

That url isn't going to take you anywhere.
Well maybe to your own personal mediafire page if you have one!
And my guess would be he's asking to download MK3
You could just post the link on the table above .
I can add a UMK3 section if you don't know how mate.

Alot of the files were linked to a members account which he has since deleted.
TBH your much better off using an emulator for VC anyway
