Hi i have a problem with some games (VC) sorry if it's not the place to ask for help but here it goes:
So my problem is that when i try to launch a virtual console game from master system or mega drive and some of virtual console arcade trough the sd card it gives an error (can't launch or something like that) but it works fine with wiiware, NES, SNES and N64.
My Wii is softmodded and it is in version 4.3E, all working fine except some virtual console games, oh and the games run well trough the Wii but not trough The SD.
Can you help?
How many spaces left do you have on the Wii? Allow at least 300-400 free space on the Wii. If the game's space is more than the Wii, it won't be able to play. I hope this helps! :)
Wily Wars is available in timewalkers folder http://www.mediafire.com/Timewalker
Megaman64 though is one of many N64 games that just don't work via injection.
Wii64 can be found here http://emulatemii.com/
Just follow the downloads link on the right hand side for the actual emulator.
There is also more detailed information on wiibrew about the app itself.
No. GBC files cannot be injected as they are not programmed to run on a Wii. EVER.
Also, he said to follow the downloads link. It's under Pages, third link. http://emulatemii.com/wordpress/?page_id=77
At present no GBC games cannot be injected into .wad files.
.wad is basically a folder containing both an emulator and game.
As no Game Boy Colour VC have been released yet, there is nothing to inject them into.
And everything you need to run the games via the second option is available on the page
but you need to post a reply on the site before the download links are provided
Can I make an injection request here? I'm wanting to play Mega Man Legends again, and the PSX -> PSP conversion is horrid. So could somebody inject and upload Mega Man 64? I'd greatly appreciate it. ^_^
Unfortunately not
Your going to have to either make do with the existing wiiware/vc titles
or go for an emulator
Wii64 would be the one your after for megaman 64
Bomberman Hero was released to PAL region on March 4 (march 7 for north america). I've already seen it in my shop channel. does anybody care about it?
also, how about Castlevania: Rondo of Blood? since it is closely connected to SotN, i figured it would get here pretty fast
@BlueLegion
I say that because they DO work on a PAL system.
You either need to use or make the .wad region free, or set your wii channels to system free via priiloader or similar.
Sing out if you need help getting them to work and I can point you in the right direction.
Region free .wad's are probably better for you, unless your comfortable with installing priiloader.
As with any mod, it does carry risks, but I haven't heard of anyone making a Wii brick in a long time.
When you say don't work, is it because of your TV not being able to run in 60htz or just the wads black screen?
My TV definately supports both 50hz and 60hz. It just said "This channel can not be used." Also, i did already try region-freed wads (found here, mostly) and region-freeing wads myself with no success in either
You may want to have a read of this article then. http://wiibrew.org/wiki/Priiloader
With this you can, amongst other things like boot straight to a USB loader, region free your Wii.
Make sure you have a NAND backup and BOOTMii, preferably installed as boot2, just in case something goes wrong during install.
There are, however, a few select NTSC games that do not work on PAL systems.
But this can be remedied with a modification of wwpacker which merely forces 60hz.
I have used this method myself for years now and haven't come across a title I couldn't get to work.
Questions On Wii Gamecube Homebrew Launcher .... Im Just Now Finding Out About This And Wonder If Its Safe To Put On The Wii Cuz Theres A Couple Of GC Games That I Used To Have That I Would Love To Have Back Without Havin To Play Them On The Computer ... Need An Answer ASAP Thanks
Are you talking about playing GC games or GC homebrew?
For GC games you can use the one on this page it's in the link on the sidebar under GC backup launcher and works fine as I have used it for years.
If it's GC homebrew, I can't see why not but haven't tried myself.
As with any modifications they carry risks though

@Daniel
Is it possible to translate NTSC-J titles to english?
I would imagine that english text would be included within the .wad

Wii64 can be found here
http://emulatemii.com/
Just follow the downloads link on the right hand side for the actual emulator.
There is also more detailed information on wiibrew about the app itself.
And here is a compatibility list of games and how they work
http://wiki.gbatemp.net/wiki/Wii64_Compatibility_List
In order to use the emulator you will need to find the game or ROM as they are known
Google can point you in the right direction for those

As no Game Boy Colour VC have been released yet, there is nothing to inject them into.
This leaves you with two choices
a, Emulators http://wiibrew.org/wiki/Visual_Boy_Advance_GX or
b, Forwarders http://darkumbra.net/index.php?showtopic=2832
The second option being a project to run GBC games from forwarders on your Wii menu
so they do in essence behave just like VC titles
Hope this helps in some way

Not sure what your point is regarding Bomberman hero?
It's already listed in the NTSC section of N64 wads and runs fine on PAL consoles
And again...this isn't the requests section

Not really.
They are different region coded.
Genesis > NTSC
Mega Drive > PAL
